Is There a God? What Difference Does It Make?

The question of whether God exists seems to be either unanswerable or irrelevant to many. HervĂ©, who grew up in France, says: “Although I don’t define myself as atheist or agnostic, I am not a believer. For me, the best way to live is to use common sense. That doesn't require belief in a deity.”
Others may feel as did John, in the United States. He said: “I was raised by parents who did not believe in God. As a young man, I had no position on whether God exists. Still, at times I would wonder about it.”
Have you ever wondered if there is a God and, if there is, whether there is a larger purpose to life? Perhaps you have encountered facts that are difficult to explain without the existence of a Creator, such as scientific data on the finely tuned balance in nature that makes life on our planet possible and evidence that life does not come from lifeless matter.—See the box “ Examine the Evidence.”

LEST WE FORGET THE INTINERY OF SATAN

Written by: Chux Ubani.

"And the Lord said unto Satan, From whence comest thou? And Satan answered the Lord, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it".
Job 2:1King James Version (KJV)
From the above portion of the Bible, it is very evident that even though Satan resides on earth, he has no fixed address and neither sleeps nor rests. He is always busy, parambulating, roaming, going from one part of the earth to the other, in search of vulnerable persons to attack. This is an act of a desperate being who does not mean well for anyone. Satan goes for the kill. This is why the book of 1 Peter 5:8 warns us to be sober and vigilant because Satan, the adversary, is like a roaring lion, roaming about, seeking for whom to devour.
What this means is that Satan does not need your invitation to attack. He is desperately getting more desperate by the day, as end time draws closer. He roams around, inflicting pains and infecting people with sicknesses and diseases, as much as he can before his time is up.
The spirit realm, like the natural world, abhors vacuum. It is either we are under God's protection or vulnerable for Satan to afflict, anyhow, anywhere and anytime. The only means of escaping satanic attacks is by allowing God into our lives. When God becomes our source of life, He builds a hedge around us that makes it impossible for Satan to touch us.
Unlike Satan, God does not roam around because God is omnipresent and omniscient. But in spite of God's nature, He is not forceful. Unlike Satan that does not need your invitation, God gently stands on the door of every heart, gently knocking, and patiently waiting for us to open the door of our heart and let Him in, to come and dine with us. No one dines with God and remains the same. When we accept Him into our lives today, we keep away the roaring, desperate and evil Satan from us here on earth, while at the same time securing for ourselves eternal life hereafter.

The Way To Righteousness

 Be Enlightened

"There is a way that seems right to a man but at the end, comes distruction...."

A way is a path that leads to any place or a system of operation as defined by(Chibueze Ezenwa Muogbo)... The way to righteousness is the pathway to righteousness... Take a view from the bible, John 14:6, "Christ said, I am the way, the truth and the life......." This clearly states that Christ is the way and not just a way, but the only way to the Father who is the Righteous One...

In The Presence Of God

Psalm 37:7-9

Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; fret not yourself over the one who prospers in his way, over the man who carries out evil devices! Refrain from anger, and forsake wrath! Fret not yourself; it tends only to evil. For the evildoers shall be cut off, but those who wait for the Lord shall inherit the land.

The Poison of Government Corruption

Government corruption has been defined as the abuse of public power for private gain. Such abuse has a long history. For example, the Bible includes a law prohibiting bribery in judicial cases, showing that the practice was already well-known over 3,500 years ago. (Exodus 23:8) Of course, corruption involves more than just accepting bribes. Corrupt public officials sometimes appropriate goods, take advantage of services to which they are not entitled, or even steal funds outright. They may also use their position to favor their friends and relatives unfairly.
While corruption can exist in any human organization, it seems that corruption in government is the worst. The 2013 Global Corruption Barometer, published by Transparency International, reported that people worldwide have the perception that the five most corrupt institutions are political parties, the police, public officials, the legislature, and the judiciary. Consider just some reports that highlight the problem.

When Your Child Asks About Death

 Be Enlightened

THE CHALLENGE

Your six-year-old asks, “Are you going to die someday?” Startled by his question, you wonder: ‘Is my child old enough to understand the answer? How can I talk to him about death?’ *

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW

Children do think about death. Some even play games in which someone pretends to die. Therefore, death should not be considered a taboo subject, and you should welcome any questions your child may have about it. By occasionally talking openly about death, you help your child learn how to cope with the loss of a loved one.
Talking about death will not cause your child to have morbid thoughts. Rather, it will help him alleviate fears. However, you may need to correct some misunderstandings. For example, some experts say that many children under the age of six do not view death as final. In their games, a child will be “dead” one moment and “alive” the next.
