"And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them:and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof". Genesis 2:19.
Of all the things created in the universe, man was God's last creation. (He was later to create woman out of man).Man, being the last creation was also the most unique, the most powerful and most important of all creations.
While creating the universe, the Bible (Genesis 1:26) tells us that God just said, "Let there be .....", and whatever He pronounced came into existence. But, when it was time to create man, God said, "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness:and let them have dominion over..." every other creation on earth. From the Bible, we learn the followig things:
1.God did not create man alone by Himself. He created man together with other personalities. Who these personalities are, shall be a topic for another day.
2. While God brought all creatures into existence by just spoken words, God engaged in physical exercise in creating man by making him out of dust.
3. Of all God's creation, it is only man that God created in His image.
4. Out of all God's creation, it is only man that God breathed His breath into.
5. By virtue of the transfer of His breath into man, every man has the spirit of God.
6. God placed man and gave him dominion above everything God created.
7. God so loved man after creating him, that He had to go to man, ("...and brought them to Adam...") just to give names to His creation.
8. God made man so important that whatever name Adam gave to any of God's creatures, "...was the name thereof".
9. Man is the most important and most powerful creature of God.
10. Man has the ability to declare anything on earth and it will be complied with in heaven.
I do not know how you see yourself. Are you sometimes consumed with the guilt of sin or failure? Do you have a poor image about yourself? Do you feel inadequate in any way that you sometimes ask yourself, "How can God use someone like me?"

My answers to the above questions, are:How can God not use someone like you? How can you not fulfill the purpose and assert the position for which God created you? Don't you know who you are?
You are the best of God's creation. You are the child of the most High God. You have the breath and spirit of God. You were created in the image of God. You are gods (Psalm 82:6); whatever you bind on earth is bound in heaven. Whatever your release on earth is released in heaven. Whatever you decree shall come to pass. Just separate yourself from that which separates you from fulfilling the purpose of your creation-sin. Sin separates us from God. Sin cuts of the breath of God in us. It is God's breath that gives us the oxygen to live and fulfill our purposes on earth. Without it, we asphyxiate and die. When we are dead in sin, we become powerless and very vulnerable to the manipulations of the devil. In fact, without God in our lives, our fate is comparable to that of a Christmas goat. Let us not succumb to sin. If we are already in sin, it is not too late to turn back and go to God, and ask for His forgiveness. God is always there for us; watching, waiting patiently, with open arms, and saying, "My child, come to me and reclaim your position while you still have the opportunity to do so now". The choice is ours, either to be gods or goats. It is not advisable to be the latter; not with this Christmas around the corner!
